Price is for one pair of speakers
“The quality of ATC’s design and construction is apparent upon opening the box. Just by looking at them, you can tell that the utmost care and consideration went into the engineering and design of these monitors – and it’s even more apparent once you start to listen through them. From recording to mixing, the ATCs perform flawlessly on rock, pop, hip-hop, jazz, or orchestral. I know what I’m hearing is what I’m getting.” – Alex Williams, Grammy Award-winning sound engineer
“There’s no getting away from the fact that the SCM25A is an expensive monitor, but the accuracy and quality really does justify the price. This modestly sized monitor maintains the very high standards set by its larger siblings, but in a more compact format, and without giving much away in terms of bass extension. Very impressive — but only audition them if the funds are available in the bank… You won’t want to go back to your old monitors afterwards!” – Sound On Sound
“These monitors are no small investment but they are real- world tools that help me work more efficiently and keep me focused and creative for longer periods of time – while they sit at the heart of every decision I make. For that, I feel the SCMS25As are totally worth it.” – Tape Op
A highly revealing and meticulously crafted monitor speaker, offering outstanding performance even in compact environments
The ATC SCM25A Mk2 is a compact, 3-way active monitor designed for nearfield applications requiring critical listening. It features a 6.5″ bass driver, an ATC 3″ midrange driver, and an ATC SH25-76S 1″ soft dome tweeter, delivering extended bass response and exceptional midrange clarity.
ATC’s proprietary drive units, designed and manufactured in-house, ensure precise performance. The 6.5” (164mm) bass driver handles frequencies below 380Hz, while the 3” (75mm) soft dome midrange driver covers 380Hz–3.5kHz. High frequencies above 3.5kHz are managed by ATC’s SH25-76S Dual-Suspension 1” (25mm) soft dome tweeter, which represents the key upgrade from the Mk1 to the Mk2. The ported enclosure is tuned to 32Hz, with a 3” (75mm) flared port to minimize air noise.
The SCM25A Pro Mk2 is powered by an integrated 3-way Class A/B amplifier mounted on the rear panel, with each driver having its own dedicated amp. Inputs include a balanced 3-pin XLR, with power supplied via an IEC mains inlet. User controls allow for input sensitivity adjustment and bass boost. Fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley crossovers, along with all-pass filters, optimize phase response for improved tonal accuracy, imaging, and off-axis performance. FET peak limiters protect against amplifier hard-clipping. A bi-color LED on the front panel indicates power and limiter status.
